We are living in unprecedented times. In the past few years children and young people's voices have been getting louder and stronger when expressing their concerns about the many crises facing the world. Awareness of global threats such as climate change and the COVID pandemic have created an uncertain and emotionally charged world for children and young people, and there is an increasing call for them to play a more active and participative role in shaping the future that they want to see.
The Children's Voice site aims to gives young people the opportunity to make a difference. We will amplify their voices by sharing their thoughts, ideas, opinions and insights and we hope to turn this into grounded action by feeding it back to policy makers, organisations and people that can help do something about it. We have a particular interest in children's thoughts about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they relate to the three themes:
Over the next few months we will be developing the initiative and working with our partners to help ensure that the voices of the young are better heard, acknowledged and valued.
We invite adults to take the time to reflect on the world through the eyes of children
